The first round of the 2018 Gravel Road Series will take place next April 28th and 29th as an exclusively dedicated gravel bike grid among the Nova Eroica race. Buonconvento, one of the most beautiful Italian villages in the heart of the province of Siena will host the 2nd Nova Eroica festival, a thrilling weekend dedicated to bike, arts and food. Over a thousand riders will fight on the Tuscany’s famous gravel roads and the beauty of the territory will be the stage of the participants’ fatigue generating a combined cultural and sporting experience worth to live.
The Nova Eroica event will dedicate two race courses to the GRS gravel category:
Length: 145 kilometers, Elevation gain 2600 meters. The real challenge is here with five timed section on a race course that will bring you from the Crete Senesi to the Chianti region. There will be an intermediate finish line in Gaiole in Chianti with a food stop in square Ricasoli to prize all the riders and give them the right energy to complete the remaining part of the race course
Length 89 kilometers, Elevation gain 1640 meters. The intermediate race course has only three timed sections but no less excitement and will let you ride immersed in the Crete Senesi’s landscape. This race course is advised to the well trained riders without experience in gravel competitions with modern bikes.
TOURING CYCLING COURSE:
Length: 47 kilometers, Elevation gain 710 meters. This is the right course for you if you do not wish to compete and want to ride on the famous gravel roads of the Eroica event.
The Gravel Road Series is a guest of the Nova Eroica race so the signing in has to be made directly on the Nova Eroica website in the signing in the section www.novaeroica.it/iscrizioni.
